Wonderful Meiji Period Japanese Ginbari Cloisonne Enamel Vase with Egrets. A very beautiful antique Meiji cloisonne vase. Brilliant red color is darker without flash, kind of a'burnt' red, if that makes sense, but still transluscent ginbari enamel.

Clear enamel egrets fading to light green towards base over silver foil. This vase exhibits very high standard of fine Japanese hand craftsmanship. I estimate from the Meiji Period. Pine Tree mark on base. This antique vase is in excellent original condition. No cracks typical of old ginbari pieces. In the 5th photo, there is a firing pit right at the top of the head feather. As it was made, not damage.

Some normal wear to base. Approximate size is 3 3/4" tall and 2 1/2" wide. Please see photos as an integral part of this description. Sometimes the camera catches what I don't. From my own personal collection, this fine vase would be an excellent addition to your own cloisonne collection.
