Superb Antique Japanese Wireless Cloisonne Enamel Box w/ Koi. Very nice lovely well done example of Japanese Cloisonne. Done in wireless technique with two Koi in shades of orange with touches of shimmering iridescence.

The ground colors are soft tones of light blues, greens and whites creating a wonderful underwater scene. Pictures may look a little blurry, but that's the wireless technique, creating depth in the design. Shakudo rims and detailed inner silk lining attest to the attention given in the making if this fine piece. Clearly done by a master of Japanese cloisonne.

Attributed to either Kumeno or Ando. Enamel is exceptional and very, very heavy for size. A very well made piece. Size is approximately 5 3/8 wide.

Very minimal scuffs on underside. About as perfect as can be. Please check my other auctions. I pack very promptly and securely.
