The background is worked with a finely incised ground known as "nanako" or fish roe with bamboo stalks incised into the ground. The vase is in pristine vintage condition without any major chips, cracks, hairlines or restoration. The center of the base is lightly applied with the workshop name of Craftsman and 10 302.The numbers "10 302" have been seen on other translucent green vases, so we believe that these numbers represent the style number of the vases.
