Stunning Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Vase by Sato Completely Wireless (Musen)

  
Pleased to offer to you a wonderful wireless (musen shippo) enamel vase made by the Sato workshop. This vase is rare because after collecting Japanese cloisonne works for nearly 40 years, I have not previously acquired a similar wireless piece utilizing a completely wireless cherry tree on a light pink enameled ground marked by the Sato workshop.

I was quite thrilled to have acquired this vase because it was huge departure from Satos traditional works that were focused on producing pieces that had demonstrated commercial success; essentially the type of vases that all of us are familiar with. This work might actually be considered experimental in nature due to the small number of extant examples. The fact that this vase came as such a wonderful surprise may attest to the small quantity. The vase is in near mint vintage condition. The only issue is a tiny ding on the top rim which does not affect the enamel.

The height of this vase is approximately 7.25 inches. The width of the vase is approximately 3.75 inches. This musen shippo (wireless vase) will be double boxed and packed with tremendous care.
