Striking Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Vase by Ota Hiroaki As-Is Condition

Here is beautiful Japanese cloisonne vase by the innovative workshop of Ota Hiroaki. This vase incorporates a wonderful blue and black speckled ground that is decorated with a profusion of various geometrical patterns and shapes. While the vase appears to be outwardly in very good condition, there are three condition issues. Near the mouth of the vase, there are several fractures emanating from a single area. This can be seen in the close-up images. Secondly, there is a series of vertical hairline cracks near the base of the vase. Lastly, there is a short horizontal hairline crack above the base. All three condition issues are very hard to see as they blend into the dark blue background.

They are even harder capture in a photograph. Despite these condition issues, the vase displays very well. Representing the artists name Hiroaki. The height of the vase is approximately 8.5 inches. The width of the vase is approximately 3.25 inches.
