A vey fine, antique cloisonne enamel vase. With a depiction of Mt. Fuji enshrouded by clouds against a light blue ground.
Simply a lovely little Japanese vase! Late 19th or Early 20th Century. It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition.
The base seemingly had a felt pad attached at some point. That has now been removed and appears to have been scraped down in an effort to remove glue. The base remains scraped and still retains particles of glue and the felt pad. There is a small mark to the top of the vase (that may or may not be a flaw), a crack near the footrim, and a color inconsistency to the reverse that reads as a small spot of white in a field of green, and there are some noticeable scratches in the clouds and to the right of the clouds.
Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Please see our other related items. Thanks for looking and good luck!
