Japanese Cloisonné is the finest in the world; t. He technique is silver wired cloisonné, a classic from Owari province (Yusen shippo). Only the highest of skill artisans and craftsmen.

Isplays fine artistry depicting a branch of cherry blossoms with a single bamboo sprout. Beautiful pastel celadon green ground contrasts against. Pink and yellow Cherry Blossoms, delicate greens and brown shading of the branches.

I call it "a breath of spring". Fitted with silver rims at the lip and the base. No marking except the word. This vase is perfect with minor surface marks on base.

Measures 5"H x 3"dia. Japanese cloisonné enamels are known as shippo-yaki and the mid-19th century saw the production of very high quality wares in the early centers Nagoya.
