This box was made by Andoh Shippoh =. 1905 - 1935 in Japan. Its name and the symbol is engraved on the outside surface of the bottom (photo #6).

The seal of Ando Shippo is stuck on the back of the lid of the original wooden box (photo #11). It was made by a technique called "TsuikiJippoh", whereby heaped-up enamels are applied to bare copper body. The technique was invented in ca. 1905 and used until ca.
