ONE OF 15 FINE & RARE ITEMS TO BE LISTED FROM 7/12 TO 7/14. PLEASE CHECK THE "SEE OTHER ITEMS" LINK ABOVE RIGHT. A colorful 7.5 inch tall Japanese Cloisonne vase. It has a very tight wired design featuring six panels that alternate between dragon and hoho bird.

The design around the shoulder includes vignettes with floral motifs and butterflies. Ginbari foil is included throughout which makes this vase shine when displayed. Most likely, this vase was made by the artist Honda Yasuburo, but it is also possible it is by Ando Jubei. Does have an area of slight stress fracture in one of the brown areas towards bottom. Very hard to see even on close inspection, impossible to get in a photo.
