Japanese Ginbari Shippo cloisonne and enamel vase Meiji

  
This is a beautiful Japanese ginbari cloisonné vase. It has a classic shape with a narrow neck and rim.

This is a large and desirable example and probably dates from the Meiji period (1868 -1912) when the art of Japanese cloisonné enamels reached its highest point. This is a wonderful example of Ginbari (silver foil foundation) Shippo on a bronze metal base. The vase is 12" tall and 4 3/4" across.

Please note there are some vertical glaze lines around the exterior - please see photos. Do not discard boxes or packing material as this is required for presentation to the carrier. Payments must be made by Pay Pal. We do not accept bank transfers or personal international checks.
