Japanese Cloisonne Vase Ando Company Pear Green Ground Early Mid 20th. Produced by the Ando Company during the first half of the 20th century (circa second-quarter/early Shwa period), this feature is an exemplary piece with well defined and clearly pronounced enamelwork. The softened pale ground provides an appealing backdrop finding itself between somewhat of a pale green Chartreuse or Pear; and hints of a subdued Creme yellow surfacing when displayed in certain lightings. Silver wire-set roses of pronounced crisp white fit eloquently within the focal-points, paired with meticulously enameled stems & leaves; themselves maintaining soft gradient respective to their outlines. Classic mark of the Ando Company centered in the base inlaid with standard wire. 7.25 (18.41cm) height. Phenomenal condition for older age - and with no cracks, chips, dents, or surface abrasion: age related oxidization interiorly present within walls, and small assorted spots of scratching to bottom rim.
