Japanese Cloisonne Oil Lamp Meiji, Large, Phoenix, Mounted Vase, Cloisonne

  

A large and striking Japanese cloisonné oil lamp made from a vase that has been mounted on a gilded metal base and an oil lamp fitting on top with spreaders to hold a shade. Has 7 "shields" with alternating phoenix and floral designs, 12 colors.

Unmarked, in very good antique condition - no cracks, dings or enamel loss. Vase = 12" high x 6.5" diameter. Base = 6.25 square at the feet. Could be displayed without the oil lamp portion making it a beautiful vase on the gilded metal pedestal.
