My grandparents traveled around Asia in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. They didn't leave any details about the pieces they collected. From what I've been able to research, this is a true cloisonné, not a replica. It is copper, visible from the picture of the mouth of vase.

It had the amazing detailed work found in this style. It does have several flaws. I believe this base was added to the original base for stability.

Not sure the condition of the base underneath, but this addition does have a crack/separation point from the original base. There are some cracks visible in the glaze, and a few spots that appear as cracks/holes, but unclear if it goes beyond the surface. The copper is slightly dented on the mouth, with some wear/repair to the work in that area. I tried to picture as much of the condition as possible.

Happy to send more pics if needed. The colors are bright and beautiful. It is a lovey piece.
