Here is a bright and cheerful Japanese classic yusen shippo (with standard wire) and musen (wireless) enamel cloisonné vase of a complex landscape scene. The vase is worked with a building, most probably a temple, amongst a forest or wooded area. There is also a large body of water, perhaps a lake or shoreline with a boat.
There is also a colorful tree, most likely a cherry tree detailed with pink and white enamels. The entire vase is well done and very detailed with the architectural element, lush landscape, shoreline and most impressive, the background worked with Mt. Fuji in a misty and serene depiction. The background is worked with a light blue enamel is in excellent vintage condition without any major faults such as cracks, chips or hairlines or restoration. This excellent example displaying a wonderful combination of standard wire (yusen) and wireless (musen) techniques is marked on the bottom rim, Cloisonne Japan.
Overall, a charming and pristine vase that is both artistic and complex. The height of this vase is approximately 7.25 inches. The width of the vase is approximately 3.75 inches. Due to the fragile nature of cloisonné enamels, this vase will be double boxed and packed with extreme care. The item "Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Vase with Beautiful Landscape, Shoreline and Mt.
