Japanese Akasuke Pigeon Blood Cloisonne & Enamel Vase 1900 - 1940 - LARGE! This vase is a Japanese Akasuke (Pigeon Blood) cloisonne enameled vase from the early 20th century. It has a wonderful floral design!
The transparent enamel is over a stippled background and brightly colored. The top and bottom rim are nickel-silver. The base of the vase is signed but mostly illegible.
The words "Tokyo-Shi" can be read. This typically means the artist is "from Tokyo". The signature is done in gold.
