A Rare and Magnificent Japanese Early Meiji/ Late Edo Period Large Monumental Cloisonné Six Sided (appears to be round due to curvilinear edges) Vase maintaining four enamel cloisonné designed panels; two with Very Impressive Floral Motifs (one panel bears Beautiful Orchids and the other bears Beautiful Spider Mums) and two with what appears to be Pheasants with Incredible Designs surrounding. The Enamel work is on a Wonderful Copper Foundation. There are also Copper Flecks within the Floral Panels. It's upper border design is incredibly detailed and the delicately colored Flowers and leaves seem to make this Amazing Piece both Delicate and Dynamic (my images don't do it justice). This Important Monumental piece of Edo/Meiji Period Cloisonné is in Good Condition and it measures 24 inches in height, a bit over 9 1/2 inches at it's widest, 5 5/8 inches diameter at the top and about 5 3/4 inches diameter at it's base.

It does have three shallow chips in the enamel along the base as you can see in the next to the last image and two small chips at the bottom of the border around the Orchid Panel (one is 3/8 inch and the other is 1/8 inch) - none of which takes away from it's impressive appearance - you really don't see them when viewing the piece, it's so Majestic. This Wonderful and Rare Impressive Piece of Japanese Edo/Meiji Period Cloisonné would be a magnificent addition to any Great Japanese Arts or Cloisonné Collection, a Great Asian Art Collection or would just enhance any beautiful home.
