Fine Pair Vintage Japanese Akasuke Cloisonne Enamel Vases w/ Roses Signed Sato. A very beautiful vintage/antique pair Akasuke. Wonderful colors and shading technique in flowers and foliage. Very brilliant deep red enamel. Top and bottom rims appear to be silver, but not marked or tested. Estimated age from Showa period pre-1940. Not the mass produced post 1960's version of similar style.

The coloring of these early pieces much deeper and richer than the more recent pieces. The mark of Sato on both base rims. These vases exhibit very high standard of fine Japanese hand craftsmanship consistent with Sato Japanese cloisonne making. These antique vases are in excellent original condition. No cracks, chips or repairs.

Normal wear to base rim. The recurring white spot is flash. Size is approximately 7 1/4 tall.
