A fine Japanese Meiji period Ginbari Cloisonne vase.. Polychrome Ginbari enamels worked in silver and gold wire on black ground displays four shields or panels two dragons and 2 phoenix surrounded by karakusa and geometric motif. Of baluster form in gilt copper mounts having decorative bands at both the rim and base. With width at shoulder of 7.5 cm. Is estate fresh as shown with a few very small nicks, scuffs and/or bites to the enamel having little to no impact on presentation. Note reflections in the photos appear as white spots not to be mistaken as flaws. Please review the photos closely for the most accurate description.
