Fine Antique Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Vase w/ Dragon - Meiji Goldstone. Unique in ovoid shape with high shoulders and lidded top.

Depicting a swirling 3 toed dragon writhing amidst clouds and flaming pearl with design encircling entire vase. B rilliantly glittering Goldstone interspersed throughout. Geometric borders and floral trim of immense cloisonne detail decorate from head to toe. Typical of very old Meiji pieces, lots of different colors, generally tending to be muted in tone. Lots of detail on this vase.

This vase is very old. This antique vase is in very good to excellent, original as-found, condition. A little chip inside lid is pictured.

There is small chip in surface layer of black enamel ground of lid and also a little rough spot on shoulder, also in black ground. I could not get to photo as they are very difficult to see. With vases 100 yrs old, there is some minor pitting common to early pieces, and normal wear from being around a long time. Please see photos as part of this description. Vase is good size at approximately 8 tall.
