Fine Antique Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Pair Vases with Dragon and Pheonix-Meiji

  
Unique in shape with six-sided bulbous body and long neck. The last two pics show the six-side shape the best. Designed with six cartouche of alternating dragons and phoenix. Geometric borders and floral trim of immense cloisonne detail decorate from head to toe. Top and bottom rims are gently flared and quite stout. Typical of very old Meiji pieces, lots of different colors, generally tending to be muted in tone. Lots of detail on these vases. These antique vases are in very good to excellent, original as-found, condition.

With vases 100 yrs old, there is some minor pitting common to early pieces, and normal wear from being around a long time. Please see photos as part of this description.
