An exceptional pair of Japanese Meiji Period Cloisonne Vases and Mahogany Stands! Regal medallions in hues of deep rust, delicate salmon and pale turquoise dominate the main design of this stunningly beautiful pair of cloisonne baluster vases, while delicately interwoven leaves and vines of rich green, vibrant turquoise and black adorn the background. Embellished with brilliant flecks of glittering gold, they are displayed on beautifully carved, gracefully ornate mahogany stands of the same period...

An exceedingly opulent pair that would elevate any interior, from traditional to minimal -- the true hallmark of any timeless work of art. They measure 6 & 1/4" high by approximately 3 & 1/8" wide at their widest point. The intricately carved mahogany stands measure 1 & 3/4" high and 4 & 1/4" in diameter. Both vases and stands are unmarked, customary with early pieces.

Please note that white areas on the photos are just light reflections. Please note there is minor damage to the cloisonne on one vase located right above the bottom rim, pictured in the last photo. There is also a slight bend to the base rim in the same area. These defects are not obviously noticeable -- These vases display magnificently!!
