A tremendous antique matched pair Meiji vases each in long neck bottle form. Beautiful colors, but muted typical of early Meiji pieces. These vases are very nice. These vases exhibit very high standard of fine Japanese hand craftsmanship for Meiji pieces.
Pitting generally common to older pieces is very, very minor on these vases attesting to the skill of the artisans of the Meiji period. These vases are not signed, but clearly the work of a master of Japanese cloisonne. These antique vases are in excellent original condition.
Some normal wear to base, nice patina to top. Again, pitting is very, very minor, but present in these older pieces well over 100 years old. Approximate size is 7 1/4" tall, but 4" wide.
Please see photos as an integral part of this description. There some camera flash reflections that are result of high gloss finish. Wonderful three clawed dragon vase pair would be an excellent addition to your cloisonne collection. Please check my other auctions.I pack very promptly and securely.
