This is an antique Meji era Kumeno Teitaro Japanese cloisonné Akasuke vase. It is extremely fine and crafted with akasuke red color enamel over a beautifully carved silver body. Exhibits a wonderful high shouldered shape, showcasing four carved scenes of grass, bamboo, and wisteria. Beautifully worked piece exhibiting the full scope of this artists ability. Very rare miniature measuring 2 3/4 high with a very unusual shape.
The piece is in excellent condition. Very unusual and desirable cabinet vase bearing the signature of a master of the art of cloisonné. The vase has a unique origin from Japan and is a perfect addition to any collection.
