The exceptional body, a deep teal-blue tone, covered in pink and white sakura blossom, blooming from aged timber branches. The work is entirely applied in low-relief enamel, a specialist technique called moriage. The work is so fine, the decoration of the body is in perfect symmetry with the lid.
