Antique Meiji-period Japanese Cloisonne Ginbari silver foil Peony vase signed

  

A cloisonne enamel vase, of small baluster form. 1868 - 1912, late 19th century. The vase decorated with a central flowering stem of Peony flowers, applied using the ginbari (foil) technique on a cobalt blue ground. Chipped enamel to the shoulder and some cracks from the base.
