Antique Meiji-period Japanese Cloisonne floral goldstone vase attr. Namikawa

  

A cloisonne enamel vase, of tapering baluster form. 1868 - 1912, late 19th century.

The body covered in flowers which repeat over a body of twisted and scrolling wirework, set within a goldstone ground. The quality of the work is exceptional and certainly from a master workshop. Small restoration from a bruised area.
