A fine Japanese Meiji period "Iris" cloisonne vase. Multicolored enamelling on a green ground within silver wire. A beautiful period vase dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, the vase was likely crafted for the burgeoning Western export market.

The variety of soft purple tones within silver wire yield a warm aesthetic and sense of overall beauty. There is slight pitting to the enamel in places and a tiny grey-ish scratch to back- please see photos.
