Antique Japanese Cloisonne Red Ginbari Fine Silver Wire Bamboo Bird Plum Signed

  
Excellent quality Japanese Ginbari cloisonné in translucent Pidgeon blood red (Akasuke). The silver underlayer has bamboo and a flying bird design and the outer layer has bamboo, and pink and white plum blossoms with very fine silver wire (nearly invisible).

The top and bottom rims are silver over copper. Signatures: The base has a N under the glaze and the rim has an S in a diamond. The cloisonné enamel is all in mint condition.

The top rim is near mint. The bottom rim has some normal wear marks/scratches. The vase is about 8" tall and 4" across the shoulder, 2 1/2" across the mouth and 2 1/2" across base.
