I admit to not being an expert in the difference between Japanese & Chinese Cloisonne vases. To the best of my knowledge in researching the differences, I believe this vase to be Japanese, but I could be mistaken.
You experts will know by looking at my pictures. All the pictures were taken inside the house without the flash from my camera, just the normal window lighting. Any'white' spots are from the window, not my camera. This vase appears to be in beautiful condition & I do not see any chips, cracks or repairs. There is a very small dent on the top rim that you can hopefully see in my last picture in about the 7:00 position.
All the different flowers & leaves are vivid & clear. PLEASE NOTE: ALL my items listed are from my family or friends that were either given to us or we inherited. NONE come from garage sales or thrift stores. I'm listing came from a family relative who was a Volcanologist that traveled all over the world her entire life. This vase weighs 1.70 lbs.
I also have a pair of Cloisonne vases listed that belonged to her, so please be sure to view them. I will be listing a lot more antiques that we inherited from her & I'll be continuing to post them as time allows. It would be worth you while to keep checking back because you may find some wonderful treasures.
