Antique Hayashi Meiji-Period Japanese Cloisonne floral & bird baluster vase
A Cloisonné enamel vase, of slender baluster form. Attributed to the Hayashiya Kodenji Studios. 1868 - 1912, early 20th century. The body depicting a scene with two small birds in flight beside a Sakura blossom tree and sprouting Bamboo shoots. The work is applied using silver and gold-tone wires, on a bold cobalt blue enamel ground. Upper and lower rims with geometric patterned borders and gilt metal finish.
