Antique 4 JAPANESE MEIJI bronze DRAGON green silver foil Cloisonne cabinet Vase
Here I have an antique Japanese cloisonne cabinet vase of outstanding quality with coiled dragon. The dragon has every scale and bristle masterfully made, it has a 3-D effect on emerald-green silver foil background and under thick glassy enamel. From my personal collection; I just acquired a new one, so one must go, too little space. Stands about 4" (3 3/4"- 3 7/8") tall, 2" across shoulders, 1 1/8 base. Bronze, silver foil, silver wire cloisonne. Both not noticeable; the nick could be felt with the finger, and the horizontal crack could be find only at certain angle at bright light. It has some tiny mark on the bottom, but I can't tell if there is an artist's mark. If it is, it should be made by Hayashi Hachizaemon, or could be just a random mark on the bronze base.
