Ando Cloisonne was established 1880 in Nagoya and nowadays is among the most prestigious producers of traditional cloisonne in Japan. Ando Cloisonne received many awards for its outstanding works and in 1900 Ando Cloisonne was appointed official supplier to the imperial family. Ando Cloisonne carries on the traditional craft of Owari Cloisonne that is typical for the city of Nagoya. Ando produces cloisonne by applying silver wires onto metal and then baking a layer of glass glaze.

All processes of this so called Wire Cloisonne require highly skilled craftsmen and are completed by hand. The base and rim opening is trimmed with silver bands..

This vase stands approximately 7.25 inches tall. The mark represents timeline 1920's to the 1930's.. Lovely display item with or without flowers or platform for a dramatic ikebana presentation. If there are any imperfections, they would be craft related.

I did take pictures with assorted backgrounds whether indoor or outdoor - for you to notice the faint floral motif and the gorgeous emerald green color, the picture was slightly lightened picture No. 1,9,10 is the closest to its natural color, t is more of a emerald green color...

Just re-package in its original packaging materials, box and insured (or similar in size).. The items I sell are vintage, antique pieces and have been previously owned - these are not new store bought items... I also do my best to give detailed information on the vintage items.

Keep in mind they are vintage (old) and will have flaws. If item is damaged, SAVE ALL PACKAGING MATERIALS and BOX for photo taking..
