Beautifully detailed Japanese small cloisonné enamel multicolored vase from the Meiji period. The fluted rim design seems to be quite unique, according to my research on the period. Late 19th century, possibly earlier.
The art of cloisonné is an ancient technique for decorating metalwork and glass then fired in a kiln several times. A great addition for to your antique and vintage cloisonne collection! Please ask any questions about this piece, or if you'd like more detailed photos.
