This listing is for a lovely antique Japanese cloisonne enamel on bronze vase, Meiji Period, c. The vase has several decorative multi-color multi-pattern horizontal bands extending from the neck to the center of the body with six shields below that are decorated with stylized dragons and phoenix/birds alternating in the shields/panels. The background color of the shields alternates between a cream colored background and a deep royal blue with shimmering gold stone/mica highlights. The base and the interior mouth is covered with a greenish-yellow enamel application. Measures 9 3/4" high with a 2" diameter top with an approximate 4 overall width.
This beautiful vase is very good to excellent condition with no noted flaws. There may be a few faint pits in the enamel from production mentioned only for accuracy.
