Comments : A fine Japanese cloisonne vase, dating from the Meiji period. The miniature vase of globular form features trellising vines of wisteria, sweeping across the body, atop a rich cobalt blue tone ground. The decoration is applied using a range of coloured enamels, which have been intricately placed within many hundred individual sculpted and placed solid silver wires.
