Measuring approximately six inches (6) in height, two inches (2) in diameter across the top, by two and three eighths inches (2 3/8) in diameter across the base, the body of the vase has been hammered to give a nanako ground and it is decorated with a hammered and engraved design of a full-body dragon flying among the clouds. The flying dragon and clouds wrap around the entire vase from shoulder to base!

And the vase is covered with the transparent red enamel in the technique known as akasuke, or what is more commonly called ox blood or pigeon blood enameling. Signed on the underside bottom with an early Ando Workshop simple cross-shaped mark, which is based on the Japanese character for the number'10'. Pronounced ju, it is a homophone for the more intricate character used for the first part of the name of Jubei, the founder of the Ando Company.

In addition, the underside bottom of the pure-silver base is marked with the Japanese character seal for Jungin which means pure silver. Condition: Excellent and clean condition essentially flawless! There is minor wear and some tarnish on the pure silver rims, which includes two small black tarnish spots on the top rim but these can be removed by the new owner is desired.
