A pair of good quality Meji period Japanese cloisonné bottle vases. Exceptionally intricate and fine cloisonné work, not the more common basic styles. Featuring three vignettes to each body and a further three to each neck. Comprising Ho Ho bird, moth and flowers and a dragon. The three scenes being retained within a floral background. Similar design to neck, but imagery contained within spear shaped borders. Some areas have sparkling aventurine inclusions. Super condition with no losses. Gilt bronze bodies showing reassuring wear to foot rims. Would make an excellent addition to any oriental collection.
