Pair 19th C. Japanese Cloisonne on Bronze Lidded Vases

  
This listing is for a pair of lovely pair of 19th Century Japanese cloisonne lidded urn shaped vases. The vases are decorated with multi-colors and patterns with medallions and bands and the designs include a stylized masque with unusual realistic looking eyes. The vases are covered with dome shaped lids with round bronze finials and sit on a plinth type base.

The interior and base of each vase are decorated with heavily applied turquoise enamel. Measure 6" high with an overall width of 4 1/4". Combined weight is 2.5 pounds. Both vases are in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws although the bronze rims have a verdigree tarnish.
