Meiji Period Japanese Ginbari Cloisonne Enamel Vase Brilliant Blue w/ Floral. A suberb, antique unusual blue Ginbari cloisonne vase.
Wonderful tall, slender form rarely seen. This vase exhibits very high standard of fine Japanese hand craftsmanship. Signed with crossed flags marking. I had come accross some history in the past, but can't find in my books on hand. Is is rare, but examples pop up now and again.
Any input from collectors would be appreciated. This antique vase is in suberb, very good to excellent original condition. There is a very small impact mark about size of pencil point in the 5th photo to left and back of design. A few show hairlines were produced deep in blue enamel. Hairlines cannot be felt and I only noticed under close inspection under 100 watt bulb, and then flash brightness exposes.
Some normal wear to base. Approximate size at 7 1/2" tall and 2" wide.
Please see photos as an integral part of this description. Sometimes the camera catches what I don't.
A Wonderful rare blue ginbari vase would be an excellent addition to your cloisonne collection. Please check my other auctions. I pack very promptly and securely.
