The vases are marked on the bottom rim of the vase as "Made in Japan". They are probably Ando or Sato but not marked. The vases are in excellent condition and a great find for the matched pair. Each stand has 3 feet and open work around the stand. The stands are almost identical and in great vintage condition with no damage. One stand is marked "Made in Hong Kong" on the bottom. The other stand has symbols that I cannot decipher. The vases were probably made between 1920 - 1960. There are no dents, dings, fractures or other damage. The could be very tiny surface scratches but I did not see any. There are surface scratches on the base and a few on the upper rim. The silver metal at the top and bottom of the vases may have slight tarnish but look lovely. Approximate Weight & Dimensions of Vases. Weight: 526.7 grams (total). Diameter of top: 1 5/8. Diameter of base: 1 7/8. Approximate Weight & Dimensions of Stand s. Weight: 69.4 grams (total). The Japanese cloisonne red ginbari vases are really gorgeous and in fine condition. The vases & stands would make a lovely addition to a collection of Asian art and antiques.
They look great in many types of home decor. Please examine the photos to assess the condition of the vases & stands for yourself.
