This listing is for a beautiful Ando Japanese cloisonne on silver vase with pale aqua Ginbari background and decorated with a colorful red Koi fish. The Ginbari translucent foil background has an internal textured appearance which contrasts nicely against the red Koi fish and green seaweed. Measures 7 1/4" high with a 2 3/8" diameter mouth and base. This nice vase is in excellent Estate condition. There are a couple of faint internal fractures on the background - one above and to the right of fish and the other within the seaweed on the back of the vase.

The vase is smooth to the touch and unfortunately, these internal background fractures are very common in this type cloisonne.
