This is a GIANT bit of Cloisonné, not seen anything this big around, a wapping 18" tall compared with the usual 5" size. Gorgeous item, can't be fully appreciate in pictures only, please see full description and all images. Japanese Ginbari Cloisonne Crane & Wisteria Vase. DESCRIPTION JAPANESE CLOISONNE ENAMEL ON Silver FOIL BACK (GINBARI). This is pretty huge in cloisonne terms at a stunning 47cms (approx 18) it really is a most magnificent piece.

White Cranes nestled between the blue and tan irises and the dripping white and purple wisteria racemes on an electric blue background made up of daisy patterns. The condition is not 100% perfect, there are a few small losses, mainly small circular spots really and a distinct area of cracking around the neck I have tried to photograph, although I know we would all like this 100% perfect the reality is that it is rare and this one seems in fairly good condition to me, certainly no huge chunks missing and on display it looks excellent.

Visually this is a magnificent and stunning piece and needs a good space to set it off. Unusual to have such size and the ginbari affect...
