This is a silver wire cloisonne vase made in Japan during late part of Meiji era (1868 - 1912). It exhibits prominent skill and craftsmanship spirit of artisans in Japan in late Meiji period. The quality of the work is amazing. It is very rare that a cloisonne artifact made in Meiji era could be kept in such an excellent condition.It is decorated with a turtledove resting on a branch of wild cherry tree, cherry blossoms and beautiful pink flowers. The color of the back ground is very dark black. Overall, it is in excellent condition. No chips, cracks or dings to the enamel. Sign of aging to the brass of top and bottom rims.
