Amazing Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Vase of a Butterfly by the Tamura Workshop

  

Really excited to offer a spectacular vase depicting an amazing and colorful butterfly hovering over a profusion of flowers. These large and impressive vases are collected for their striking and bold designs. Tamura clearly shows his artistic and innovative style by leveraging pieces of gold foil on a light colored ground to create an wonderful contrast. Tamura also imbeds slivers of silver foil to create the iridescent wings of the butterfly. Tamura creates a playful bouquet of flowers by using gilt wires to provide another level of color and composition.

The background is finished in a high polish, light green enamel in pristine condition without any major faults such as cracks, crazing, hairlines or restoration. I may use the signature and images of this wonderful vase in future Newsletter articles or future publications. Overall, a very cheerfuland exciting work in mint condition.

The height of this vase is approximately 9.5 inches. The width of this vase at the midsection is approximately 7.25 inches.
