19th C. Japanese Cloisonne Ginbari Enamel 3.5 Vase, Chrysanthemum

  

This listing is for a lovely miniature Japanese Ginbari Cloisonne on bronze enameled vase with white chrysanthemum decoration. The Ginbari (foil) background is rose-pink at the top and shading to white about half-way down the body with a lovely white chrysanthemum on the pink background with a couple of buds and beautiful green foliage on the white background.

Vase is signed with unidentified incised mark. Measures 3 1/2" high, an overall width of about 2" and a 1 1/8 diameter base.

The vase is in good Estate condition although there are a couple of minor issues. There is a small nick on the vase on the backside with a faint hairline just above the base. The nick is hard to see on the white background but can be felt although the hairline is smooth to the touch. There are also some faint nicks on the large flower and there is some slight discoloration in this area although these nicks are barely felt.

This miniature vase has beautiful coloration and makes a nice cabinet piece. Have been in the Antiques business for over 30 years and try to describe our items as accurately as possible.
