This listing is for an unusual late 19th Century Japanese Cloisonne enamel on bronze vase with a hexagonal paneled shape with curved neck and base and long panels on body. The neck and base have a dark blue background with large central flower surrounded with colorful swirled cloisons. The panels on the body are slightly wider at the top and narrow as they reach the base and are decorated with flowers, birds and butterflies on a turquoise blue background. Each of the panels is completely covered with the colorful designs.
The interior and the base are covered with a heavily applied turquoise blue enamel. Measures 15 1/4" high with a 4 1/8" wide top (measured flat side to flat side) and a 4 1/2 wide base (flat side to flat side). This great vase is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws.
